Tamara Champagne

I grew up in Riverview, MI. I lived in Dearborn for 10 years and moved back to Riverview to help my parents as they got older. I attended U of M and am very active with my husband in our local American Legion, supporting veterans and veteran causes. I began in insurance 22 years ago on the financial side, helping educators put financial plans in place for their retirement. I then expanded into helping those same people with finding the best insurance plans for their homes, autos, toys and life insurance. This industry has been a wonderful way to get to know many members of my community and to be able to help secure the futures of those I serve. I love what I do because no two days are the same. No two families have the same story or situations. When we can really get to know the client, find out what’s important to them and then are able to find it for them and often at a large savings, it just feels great. I love being a mom and grandmother, I absolutely love to have my family and friends all around, entertaining and making memories! If I can get everyone up north and out on the water for a weekend of fun those are my favorite memories! I try to sneak away to Traverse City to go to the wineries as often as I can. If I’m not working, you can find me at our home in Houghton Lake, out on the water, riding the snowmobiles or out on the trails in our ATV. I regularly volunteer and am on the board of our local American Legion. We work year-round to help veterans and their families.

Robert Champagne

I grew up Downriver and I retired from the Air Force. I am active in our local American legion and work to help veterans locally. I have been a partner in the agency since 2009 and I’m excited that I can help people find the insurance that fits their needs and protects their assets. I really enjoy anything that has to do with the outdoors different challenges that the outdoors can give you. I love going up north. boating, hunting, hanging out by the fire on a nice summer night. Or winter night for that matter. You will find me at Houghton lake. Hanging out with friends. Having a cold beer on our boat or sitting around the fire telling stories about growing up downriver. I was the commander of the Riverview American legion for 3 years and I’m still very active there. I love helping other veterans in any way possible. I am also actively helping the Detroit veterans homeless shelter.

Zack Ronan

I grew up in Riverview, MI. I recently spent 5 years living in Colorado while working for Vail Resorts on Vail Mountain. I really enjoy snowboarding, it is actually one of my favorite ways to spend my time. What I enjoy most about working in the Insurance Industry us the connections I make with people while also saving them money. I love to snowboard. I can’t wait to get out there again. In my free time, you could find me at a ski hill, concert or a bar enjoying a delicious IPA.

Shannon Barnett

I grew up in Downriver and in the surrounding communities. I also have a cosmetology license. I’ve worked as both a customer service representative and as an insurance agent. I find my relationships with customers important in every aspect. I love getting to know those in our community and helping them protect their most valuable assets. I love to spend time with my family and friends. My family and I have been involved in our city’s little league football and cheer organization for 9 years. I like to read mystery and thriller books to wind down at night, you can find me at one of my children’s sporting events or practices. I have been an assistant cheer director for our city’s little league football and Cheer program and my husband has coached their jr. freshman football team for a few years.

Deborah Steffey

I grew up in Downriver, MI. I went to beautician school right out of High School. I love being an insurance agent and working with people and making sure they understand what insurance actually means.  I also want to make sure they have the proper coverage to safeguard themselves when it is needed. Making sure my clients are happy is what I care about most. I also like my clients to understand they are not only my clients but a friend as well. I make sure they are treated the way I would like to be treated. I have 2 amazing daughters and a wonderful husband who is my best friend. I have a hobby making cheer bows for cheer teams, which I love and have been doing for about 15 years. My daughter cheered her whole life and we traveled a lot. Even though she no longer cheers, I still enjoy going to cheer competitions. I also have a camper and love camping and spending time with my family.

Chris Widenhofer

I was born and raised in Riverview. I immediately joined the workforce out of high school and established a great work ethic at an early age. After 18 years of working for a glass company, I joined the insurance industry in February of 2019. I love being an agent and being able to help people. I am most excited when I am able to not only save someone money but make sure that they are insured properly in the event of a loss. I truly enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and 2 kids.

Emily Ewing

I currently live in Rockwood, Michigan, and have my whole life – it is a quiet small town with wonderful people.

I had no experience in the insurance industry until I was hired back in August. I have learned so much over the past couple of months and it has been a wonderful experience. What excites me the most about work is being able to help clients!

What I enjoy personally is being able to spend my free time with my friends and family. When I am not working, I am spending my time with my friends.

Celeste Mausolf

I grew up in the small town of Carsonville. After leaving for a year, I ended up back here! I have my bachelor’s degree in Business Management and while this is my first experience in the insurance industry, I have years of customer service experience so I am excited to help this company grow in the thumb area.

Aside from work, I really enjoy spending time with my husband and four kids!!! And although I am not good at it, I love to go golfing too – I am excited to try disc golf this summer. If I’m not waitressing, I’m doing something with my kids and/or husband.

Allison Genaw

I grew up in Riverview, MI, and now I live and raise my family in Trenton. I attended Baker college for pharmacy tech. I came from a fast-paced customer service role in downtown Detroit working at Cobo hall. While there, I would assist in events and tradeshows – my main event was the International Auto Show.

What excites me most about Champagne Agency is that I love knowing we help back our community in their insurance needs and we are always working with new charities to make a donation each month!

I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and kids. In the summer we spend a lot of time at the ball field! We love visiting new restaurants and taking fun vacations! I love to spend my weekends watching my kids play sports. I also enjoy spending time with my parents too!

Dani Warren

I grew up in the little town of Carsonville. I attended college at the Culinary Institute of Michigan, where I became a Pastry Chef. My favorite thing about the insurance industry is getting to talk with clients and getting to know them on a personal level.

My guilty pleasures are hunting and riding my 4-wheeler. I love being outdoors, so if I’m not working you’ll be able to find me outside enjoying the weather with family and friends.

Larry Spears

I have been in the insurance industry for about four years and my primary goal is to provide you with the coverage you need at an affordable price!

I was raised in Waterford, Michigan. When I’m not at work, I like to keep myself busy with cooking, outdoors, and trying new whiskeys. Drummond Island, Michigan is my favorite vacation spot.

Joe Leduc

I grew up in Redford, Michigan. I have twenty years of experience in the insurance industry, which is ever-changing, and my job is to make sure you are covered correctly. It is always satisfying to save a family money on their rates and make sure they know what they are buying and how it benefits them!

I really enjoy spending time with my family and my new grandson. I also enjoy classic cars, golf, and traveling. I thoroughly enjoy detailing cars. In my time away from work, you can usually find me either out of town with my wife, seeing my grandson, or getting together with family and good friends.

John Young

I grew up in Redford, Michigan, and went to Redford Union High School. I’ve been in the insurance business for ten years. In the beginning, I worked for another agent for a short time, then I decided to open my own independent agency and partnered up with my sister, Christine, and later my old friend, Joe. I really like it when customers can tell that I really do care and that’s when the relationship transforms from client/agent to a partnership in building the right coverage for the client. That to me is gratifying!

I love doing anything outside in the summer, especially on the water! I used to travel a lot and loved it. My goal is to start taking adventure vacations with my wife. In my free time, when I’m not working, I love doing anything with family!

I’m very passionate about the Alzheimer’s Association because we’ve all lost someone we loved to this dreadful disease.
