Helping Struggling Downriver Families #MimisMission

  The Champagne team, with the help of customers and friends, was able to raise $1,420!

Mimi’s Mission in collaboration with the City of River Rouge Police Department and the River Rouge No Kids without a Christmas have developed a program to help feed hungry children in their city while also building trust and positive relationships between children and River Rouge Police.

Many folks in Downriver are struggling now more than ever to provide for their families. The recent pandemic has made it difficult for many to keep food in their pantries, along with many other basic necessities – and our agency wants to do everything we can to help! We have chosen to partner with Mimi’s Mission, a local non-profit organization that aids families who need immediate assistance. 

Mimi’s Mission has helped families long before these recent hardships. Mimi’s Mission has assisted over 7,300 people each year, since breaking ground in 2015. From food items and cleaning products to clothing and toys, the organization has restored hope for so many Downriver residents. They have provided presents for children at christmas, and even beautiful dresses and suits for student school dances. 

In addition to all this amazing work they do, they also have made a huge impact in the autism community. Holding countless events for families with autisic children, they have raised awareness and hope. Mimi’s mission is nothing shy of an outstanding and communal effort that truly changes lives.
